A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap that restores a decayed, broken, or weak tooth. A crown is also used to cover a tooth that has received a root canal. A bridge, on the other hand, literally bridges the gap, created from the loss of one or more teeth, between two teeth.
If you have missing teeth, please don’t leave untreated. The gap will cause teeth to shift creating problems with the alignment of your teeth, in other words, it will mess up your bite. The exposed gum could also develop an infection which can cause the loss of more teeth later on.
